MEET THE TEAM

Pastor Paul emigrated to Australia from Yorkshire, England in 1974. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Saviour in 1976. The following year Paul entered  Bible College to begin theological studies. In 1979 he met Annette, his future wife, in the gym and led her to Christ. They were married in 1980 and have two married sons.

Pastor Paul and Annette founded Church of the Cross in their theater room at home in 2012. The home meetings grew until the need to start a Church became evident. 

 

One of Pastor Paul's  main focuses in ministry, is to disciple others into leadership.

Beejai Doorgah, first visited Church of the Cross at the invitation of a friend.  

He had been looking for a church to worship at for quite some time, and Church of the Cross was to be the last resort to find a church that fitted the ideal church for him.

Following that first visit, Beejai quickly settled in, bringing with him gifts and talents which enabled Church of the Cross in its ministries, and development. His wife Helen followed suit, as they 

both became church members

 

Today, Beejai serves in the capacity of Elder, Lay Preacher, and Safety Officer.

Carmel accepted Christ at a young age and continued to grow into her faith. She is married to Enzo and they have three adult children who are all active in the church. 

​

Carmel heads up our worship team each Sunday with passion and love. Although small in stature, her voice and reverence to worship is huge.

​

Since becoming baptised, Enzo's fire and passion for serving his Lord has become unwavered. Enzo is married to Carmel and they have three adult children who are involved in church ministry.

​

Enzo can always be found working tirelessly in the background making sure everything runs smoothly. As well as wearing the Treasurer hat, Enzo also wears the hat of usher and completes all the odd jobs.
